Full Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rehabilitation to lead our comprehensive rehabilitation team in our skilled nursing facility in North Bergen, New Jersey. If you are a passionate leader with a strong clinical background in Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) and thrive in a fast-paced subacute and long-term care environment, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents while driving departmental excellence. What You'll Do Lead and oversee the full rehabilitation department, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology services Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of licensed therapists, assistants (PTA/OTA), and support staff Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for residents with a wide range of needs in subacute rehab and long-term care settings Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and clinical programs to optimize outcomes and resident recovery Monitor productivity, documentation compliance, and regulatory standards (including MDS, Medicare, and state/federal guidelines) Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, physicians, nurses, administration, and families Participate in care plan meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and family conferences Manage scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations Work with the Director of Nursing and facility administration to achieve departmental and facility goals Report directly to the Administrator / Director of Operations What We're Looking For Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) in the state of New Jersey (or eligible to obtain) Previous leadership or management experience in rehabilitation preferred Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations, MDS, PDPM, and rehab reimbursement Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, drive results, and foster a positive team culture Compassionate leader with a genuine passion for geriatric care and improving residents' quality of life New grads with strong clinical experience or leadership potential are welcome — we provide excellent mentorship and training support We welcome applications from PT, OT, SLP, PTA, and OTA candidates ready to step into a leadership role!
