Job Description

Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation to oversee and manage our rehabilitation department. Located in beautiful Nassau County, Woodbury Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is committed to providing high-quality short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. Our interdisciplinary team focuses on personalized, patient-centered recovery in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management and possess excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the rehab department (PT, OT, SLP) Ensure clinical excellence and compliance with Medicare Part A, B, HMO, and Medicaid reimbursement systems Provide ongoing support, training, and mentorship to therapy staff Coordinate care planning and interdisciplinary meetings Manage departmental budgeting, staffing, and scheduling Ensure documentation meets all federal, state, and facility requirements Uphold Sigma Health Rehab's commitment to quality outcomes and resident-centered care
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical or Occupational Therapy program Active New York State PT or OT license (Required) Minimum of 2 years of therapy experience. Experience in long-term care or sub-acute rehab settings Strong understanding of Medicare Part A, Part B, and Medicaid CMI Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with therapy EMR systems and standard software tools (e.g., Word, Excel) Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to therapy and SNF operations\
