Salary:
Starting at $65000 / annually - depending on experience / education Job Summary Directs the activities of the Care Coordinators and Adminstrative Support Staff of Beechwood NeuroRehab. Trains and supervises Rehab Care Coordinators. Oversees the execution of deliverables from care coordinaton team. Provides ongoing support, supervision and guidance with their responsibilities, including filling in for the in times of absence or emergency. Supervises the Beechwood NeuroRehab Administrative Support staff. Develops criteria and monitors program evaluation systems, which address staff training and supervision, health/safety requirements and the tracking and training of all documentation required for the individuals. Reports results up with recommendations for improvement, if needed. Ensures for the smooth daily operation of Care Coordination and Administrative Support teams. Provides Administrative oversight of the Transdisciplinary Team process through leadership at Team Conferences and through consultation with Team members. Develops and maintains systems for the proper maintenance and dissemination of client records (including electronic) in accordance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards. Collaborates closely with Woods Billing, Revenue Cycle, and interdisciplinary clinical teams to proactively address and resolve authorization, utilization review, billing, claims, reimbursement, and payer-related issues across all applicable funding sources. Facilitates ongoing communication between operational, clinical, and financial stakeholders to ensure timely authorization approvals, accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, denial prevention and management, continuity of reimbursement, and resolution of complex payer concerns impacting service delivery and revenue integrity. Coordinates Outcomes Management system with the Executive Director and analyzes Beechwood NeuroRehab's outcomes in relation to industry benchmarking. May carry a caseload and perform direct care duties, as needed. Addresses and resolves complex family, funding, and payer-related issues that arise, utilizing sound judgment, collaboration, and problem-solving to support continuity of care, service access, and organizational compliance. Conducts routine and targeted record audits to ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, accreditation, Medicaid, Medicare, and organizational documentation requirements. Identifies deficiencies, compiles and analyzes data-driven reports, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to implement corrective actions, and supports ongoing quality improvement, audit readiness, operational oversight, and compliance with applicable state and federal standards. Serves as Director-level member on Beechwood NeuroRehab Management Team in program development and overall Beechwood NeuroRehab leadership activities. Works on preparation and compliance for activities related to the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and other accreditations and licensure which apply to Beechwood NeuroRehab. Alerts Administration about any family/funding dissatisfaction or any issues affecting placement. Promotes visibility and engagement across programs for themselves and Case Coordinators. Maintains positive professional/ethical relationships with all employees/client relatives/agencies, etc. and facilitates effective working relationships with employees of other departments throughout the organization. Conducts In-Service Training as necessary and appropriate. Chairs, participates in, or serves on various committees. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrates thorough understanding of the impact brain injury and other neurological conditions has on individuals and their families and how rehabilitative services can bring about change and improvement in one's ability to more fully participate in daily life and integrate more fully into the community of choice. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of each client's individual service plan as it relates to the overall functional outcome of the person served from admission to post discharge follow up. Effectively communicates this information to clients, families, funders and others as authorized. Demonstrates an understanding of the expectations and concerns of the persons served and their family/funders. Effectively communicates this information to team members. Recognizes serious dissatisfaction of stake holders and alerts Beechwood NeuroRehab Administration. Demonstrates the ability to follow up until concerns are resolved. Demonstrates thorough understanding of funding sources and insurance plans typical to Beechwood NeuroRehab clients and how the type of funding affects service provision, length of stay, reimbursement for Beechwood NeuroRehab services, and reimbursement for medical and dental care, DME, and pharmacy. Has thorough understanding of Social Security, Access and Medicaid Waiver eligibility in order to be able to assist as needed clients and their families in obtaining and maintaining eligibility. Demonstrates knowledge of community resources of benefit to persons served and their families, make appropriate referrals and follow up so that needs are met. (transportation services, local support groups, legal aid, advocacy, housing etc) Demonstrates thorough understanding of Beechwood NeuroRehab records procedures. Demonstrates adherence to confidentiality regulations with regard to the disclosure of protected information. Demonstrates thorough understanding of applicable licensure and accreditation standards and possess the organizational skills required to develop systems which maximize compliance. Demonstrates respect for diversity and recognize the unique needs and values of individuals. Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with other Beechwood NeuroRehab team members, showing respect for the contributions of others. Acts as a resource to team members in problem solving difficult situations. Demonstrates effective communication skills both written and verbal, specifically the ability to write clearly, to understand written information, to speak effectively, to listen attentively and ensure information being communicated is understood. Demonstrates calm, professional manners even during stressful situations. Demonstrates ability to manage resources, prioritize tasks, and delegate appropriately to ensure smooth day to day operation of the secretarial and case management departments. Demonstrates ability to hire, train, mentor and motivate staff. Demonstrates ability to monitor and evaluate staff performance. Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyze, and apply data to support organizational decision-making, identify trends and gaps, improve operational processes, and drive continuous quality and performance improvement initiatives. Efficient in the use of a computer for professional correspondence and reports, including creating and tracking data and reports using electronic health record systems. Additional Qualifications Master's degree from accredited university in Social Work, Rehabilitation, Psychology or other Human Services area. CBIS preferred. Two year's supervisory experience in social work/rehabilitation setting serving mentally and physically challenged persons. Knowledge of brain injury, knowledge of social service/rehabilitation systems. Effective communication skills. Effective supervisory skills.
