Job Description

Overview The Director of Rehabilitation is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation services within our healthcare facility. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in healthcare management, fiscal responsibility, and clinical operations. The Director will ensure that rehabilitation services are delivered effectively and efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care. This role involves collaboration with various departments to enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities Lead and manage the rehabilitation department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies. Develop and implement strategic plans for rehabilitation services that align with the overall goals of the organization. Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation to ensure optimal use of funds. Supervise staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to foster professional development and high-quality care. Collaborate with medical staff to integrate rehabilitation services into overall patient care plans. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records. Manage human resources functions within the department, including recruitment, training, and retention of qualified staff. Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for documentation and management of medical records. Monitor quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with DOH standards and best practices in rehabilitation care. Engage in utilization management to optimize patient care pathways and resource utilization. Skills Candidates should possess a comprehensive skill set that includes: Strong fiscal management abilities, including budgeting and financial oversight. Experience in medical office management or healthcare administration. Proven supervisory experience in a clinical setting. Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Pennsylvania. Bachelor's degree required; Master's. Minimum of 5 years' clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Prior experience in a CCRC, long-term care, or senior living setting strongly preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, reimbursement systems, and clinical best practices.
