Job Description

Director of Rehab The Director of Rehab is responsible for managing and directing the rehabilitation services within the skilled nursing facility, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. This role provides leadership and guidance to therapy staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care that meets regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the rehab department, including staffing, scheduling, and program management. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate therapists and support staff to promote professional growth and ensure clinical excellence. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized resident care plans. Monitor and ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations, policies, and documentation requirements. Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and productivity goals. Develop and implement innovative therapy programs to support resident outcomes, functional independence, and quality of life. Provide direct clinical care as needed, serving as a role model for best practices. Communicate with residents, families, and staff to ensure transparency, satisfaction, and quality service delivery.
Qualifications:
Active license including Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills. Knowledge of regulatory standards and reimbursement guidelines. EOE
