Position Summary The Rehab Director is responsible for the clinical and operational management of the facility's rehabilitation program. This role provides leadership and supervision to therapy staff while overseeing therapy services, documentation, compliance, scheduling, productivity, patient outcomes, and interdisciplinary communication. The ideal candidate is a strong clinician and leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to providing high-quality rehabilitation services that improve the lives of residents. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations Provide day-to-day operational direction and administrative oversight of all therapy-related services Supervise and support therapy staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment Ensure appropriate staffing levels and communicate staffing needs to Area and Regional Leadership Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of therapy staff Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and resident-centered care Attend and participate in facility meetings, department meetings, and required in-services Clinical Oversight Oversee implementation and management of therapy plans of care Ensure therapy services are delivered at appropriate intensity and duration to meet resident needs Track admissions and discharges to ensure timely evaluations, treatment initiation, and discharge summaries Monitor caseload management, treatment scheduling, and therapy utilization Ensure quarterly screenings are completed according to company standards Provide clinical guidance and support to therapists and assistants Documentation & Compliance Ensure all evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries are completed accurately and timely Monitor documentation quality and conduct periodic chart audits Ensure insurance verification and prior authorizations are obtained when required Provide therapy updates and supporting documentation for continued authorization requests Maintain compliance with all federal, state, company, and facility regulations Financial & Productivity Management Monitor therapist productivity, labor utilization, overtime, and flex time Utilize staffing and resources efficiently while maintaining quality patient care Organize workloads and departmental responsibilities to ensure operational effectiveness Business Development & Communication Build positive relationships with residents, families, facility leadership, physicians, and referral partners Assist with marketing and customer relationship development as needed Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated resident care Qualifications Current Texas license as a
PT/PTA/OT/COTA
Previous leadership, management, or supervisory experience preferred Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or geriatric rehabilitation strongly preferred Strong knowledge of therapy operations, reimbursement, compliance, and documentation requirements Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Familiarity with Net Health documentation software preferred Why Join FPACP?
