BLS Certification Full Job Description Overview:
Unlicensed Electrocardiogram Technician who assists the physicians in performing routine and emergency diagnostic cardiology procedures on adult patients to include electrocardiograms, rhythm strips, stress testing, nuclear stress testing, stress portion of stress echocardiograms, Holter application and signal average ECG. The technician processes paperwork for each procedure, assists in establishing new procedures and maintaining current procedures for the Cardiology Department. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of
AHMC-ARMC.
The employee shall support AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center's strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient's Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and RegionalCare initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Experience Completion of formal training program in cardiovascular training or 1 year experience in performing specific cardiac testing preferred. Completion of basic arrhythmia class. Licenses/Certifications Current BLS-HCP required.
