Since 1977, our clinic has provided comprehensive neurological care to patients throughout Kern County, and we continue to expand our diagnostic and clinical capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and interested in long-term professional growth within a collaborative outpatient neurology environment. Unlike larger hospital systems, our practice offers a close-knit and team-oriented setting where employees have the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient experience, clinic operations, and the continued growth of the practice. Responsibilities Perform routine and ambulatory electroencephalogram (EEG) studies accurately and efficiently under provider direction. Prepare patients for EEG procedures by obtaining appropriate history, explaining testing procedures, and ensuring patient comfort. Apply EEG electrodes according to established protocols using proper electrode placement techniques. Monitor EEG recordings to ensure high-quality tracings and troubleshoot artifacts as needed. Document testing information and patient data accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Maintain, troubleshoot, clean, and calibrate EEG equipment and related supplies. Collaborate with neurologists, medical assistants, referrals staff, and front office personnel to support efficient patient flow. Help maintain organized and compliant clinical workspaces. Qualifications Prior experience performing EEG studies preferred. Experience in neurology, neurodiagnostics, or related clinical settings preferred. ABRET Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) certification is preferred, but not required. Candidates currently working toward certification are encouraged to apply. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and patient care abilities. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. EMR experience preferred. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to grow alongside the practice. Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, certification, and qualifications.
