Neonates Full Job Description Overview:

Participates in a process of instruction and activity to perform longterm Audio Visual monitoring via scalp and intracranial electrodes on adult and pediatric patients of the Epiliepsy Surgery and Pediatric Monitoring Programs. Prepares equipment and supplies for such procedures. Provides assistance to physicians performing these and similar studies as required.

1. Performs duties associated with monitoring patients being evaluated during Continuous Audio Visual EEG Recording. Provides assistance to physicians performing these and similar studies as required. 1.1 Prepares the patient and supplies prior to the process of Continuous Audio Visual EEG Monitoring, via scalp and/or intracranial electrodes. 2. Follows established safety precautions and procedures in the performance of all duties to ensure a safe environment. 2.1 Consistently demonstrates a complete knowledge of body mechanics as evidenced by no injuries sustained as a result of improper body mechanics in this evaluation period.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of basic EEG technician training.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) to three (3) years as an EEG Technician performing routine and specialized electroencephalography laboratory procedures. Experience to include critical care and neonatal electrodiagnostic procedures.
LICENSURE R.EEG.T.
National Board Certification Required plus one additional board certification (R.EP.T., R.PSG.T., CNIM, or CLTM).
SPECIAL SKILLS
Possession of the skills and knowledge required by the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologists for certification. National Board Certification is required. Basic computer skills.
