EMG Technician - USFTGP Neurology Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time From $59,779.20 a year 14 hours ago Qualifications Collaborate with healthcare professionals Direct patient care Calibration Workflow management (operations management method) Mid-level Patient safety Medical scheduling High school diploma or GED Electromyography Clinical staff training Neurological diagnostics Staff training LPN Patient interaction Neurology 1 year Care coordination Full Job Description - (260001EJ) The EMG Technician works under the supervision and direction of the provider and is responsible for measuring electrical activity in peripheral nerves using electromyography instrument for diagnosing and treating neuromuscular disorders, including test set-up, electrode application, assist physician with the electromyogram, while maintaining patient safety during clinically significant events.
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent License/Registration Active Board Registered END Technologist Certification Work Experience and Additional Required l Information 1 year experience OR Neurology MA/LPN with 2 years experience Duties & Responsibilities Prepares the patient, conducts testing and distinguishes between normal and abnormal results; recognizes physiological and non-physiological artifacts and takes appropriate steps to eliminate them, providing a high quality of care Communicates appropriately and effectively with the patient and higher level personnel to convey the purpose of the NCS Performs the appropriate calibration procedure on the electrodiagnostic instrument for standard recordings and thorough testing Serves as a clinical preceptor for new staff, fellows and residents for quality staff training Schedules diagnostic studies, processes messages and responds in a timely manner to maintain efficient workflow Act as a liaison between providers, patients, pharmacies, hospitals, other health professionals and nonclinical staff to provide a team approach to patient care Primary Location Tampa Work Locations TGH Main Campus 1 Tampa General Circle Tampa 33601 Eligible for Remote Work On Site Job Radiology/Imaging Services Organization Academic Medical Group Inc Schedule Full-time Scheduled Days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Shift Day Job Job Type On Site Minimum Salary 59,779.20 Job Posting Apr 7, 2026, 3:42:04 PMSimilar jobs in Tampa, FL
