Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform EEG tests on inpatients and outpatients, including bedside and neonates in the nursery. Prepares patient for EEG or EKG test, including giving instructions to make the test effective, applying electrodes, and affixing to appropriate body position. Prepares EKG tracing and looks up any previous patients' records for cardiologist review. Maintains daily ledger of EEG/EKG tests given. Explains the procedure to the patient and obtain patient's history for the exam. Assists neurologist with EEG/EMG procedures. Plans and organizes work, defines assignments, and carries out assignments effectively. Performs clerical duties and other duties, as needed Qualifications Associates degree
- EEG Certification program 1
- 3 Years of experience is highly desired EEG Certification is required CPR Certification (BLS) EKC Certification highly desirable Associates or better. BLS
