3x12 Nights | 6:45 PM - 7:15AM Hours:
36 hours/week Position Summary The Neurodiagnostic/EEG Technician is responsible for performing high-quality neurodiagnostic studies in accordance with departmental standards and ASET guidelines. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, critical thinking, and the ability to monitor and assess patients during neurodiagnostic procedures. The technician will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and patient safety. Key Responsibilities Core EEG Functions Perform routine outpatient and inpatient EEG studies. Conduct prolonged routine EEGs, including studies to rule out ECS/brain death. Perform long-term continuous EEG monitoring. Manage outpatient event monitoring and private VEEGs. Utilize the 10-20 electrode placement system and adapt placement techniques based on patient needs. Advanced EEG Functions Conduct inpatient VEEG event monitoring. Monitor multiple EEG/video patients within the EMU. Accurately document EEG activity and patient events. Evaluate patients during clinical events and notify physicians or nursing staff as needed. Assist with ictal SPECT monitoring and coordinate with RN/Nuclear Medicine staff for radiotracer injection timing. Perform EEG monitoring during WADA procedures in Interventional Radiology. Conduct intracarotid EEG recordings. Assist with intra-operative and pre-operative EEG brain mapping procedures. Quality & Safety Assurance Monitor patients to prevent injury or falls during clinical events. Follow escalation procedures for notifying nursing staff, physicians, or rapid response teams. Maintain electrical safety standards during all neurodiagnostic procedures. Adhere to ASET standards and infection control protocols. Recognize and troubleshoot technical issues such as poor electrode connections, electrical interference, and patient-related recording limitations. Education & Training Educate patients and families regarding neurodiagnostic procedures. Participate in ongoing education and competency development. Provide on-the-job training and mentorship as appropriate. Additional Neurodiagnostic Functions Perform evoked potential studies. Conduct SSEP (Somatosensory Evoked Potential) testing. Required Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of experience in a hospital setting. Experience performing neurodiagnostic and EEG procedures. Strong understanding of routine inpatient/outpatient EEGs and prolonged EEG monitoring. Knowledge of the 10-20 electrode placement system. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment. Preferred Qualifications R.EEG.T certification preferred.Experience with:

Candidates should be comfortable working independently while managing multiple monitored patients in a high-acuity clinical setting.Pay:
