Submit your application for the opportunity below: EKG Technician Job Summary and Qualifications Runs standard, STAT and pre-op EKG's according to established protocols and physicians requests.

• Responds to "Stroke alerts" by immediately reporting to the area as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual . Remains on standby to perform EKG on patient as soon as possible.
• Processes EKG's according to policy and procedure .
• Distributes EKG test results to the patients charts .
• Performs routine maintenance and care of the EKG equipment . Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot the Muse Networking system and EKG equipment. Assists in training new employees in the EKG lab. Restocks work areas with needed supplies . Keeps areas clean and safe for patients. Communicates and works effectively with other hospital departments, phy sicians offices and other customers.
• Demonstrates the ability to apply holter /event monitors What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE

Required:

Six months experience in patient care in a hospital Pre ferred: Six months experience performing EKG's .
