DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for a night shift contract role in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) working with pediatric patients.

Details
  • Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) in an acute care hospital setting with 500+ beds
  • Pediatric patient population with intractable seizure disorders
  • Night shifts, 12 hours: 7:00 PM
  • 7:30 AM
  • 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • Unit operates on weekends and holidays
  • 13-week contract Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of EEG technologist experience required
  • Completion of an accredited EEG/EET program preferred;
R. EEG T.
(ed EEG Technologist) credential preferred
  • Proficiency in International 10-20 and 10/10 electrode application with Collodion required
  • Experience in a comparable large acute care facility (500+ bed count) required
  • Active licensure required if applicable
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting seizures, operating epilepsy monitoring and computer equipment, and performing special treatments for acutely ill patients with seizure disorders
  • Work is performed under the supervision of Epilepsy Faculty
  • All training and orientation is conducted on day shift
