1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Neurodiagnostic Technologist II for a 13-week travel contract in a Clinical Neurophysiology setting, performing EEG, EMG, NCV, EP, and polysomnographic testing across hospital, OR, and clinic environments. Details Clinical Neurophysiology department within an academic medical center Performs testing in hospital rooms, operating rooms, and clinics Procedures include EEG, EMG, NCV, sensory evoked potentials (EP), and polysomnographic testing with possible oxygen therapy and CPAP treatments Variable shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 3 days per week 36 hours per week Weekend shifts may be required as needed No on-call required Requirements Graduation from an acceptable program of Neurophysiology, OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience performing Sleep or Neurodiagnostics procedures Registry eligible in at least one of the following specialty areas: EEG (R. EEG T. or CLTM), EP (R. EP T.), Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM), NCV, Polysomnography (RPSGT), or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) License required if applicable Experience with patient history taking, test scoring, equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information Performs diagnostic neurodiagnostic and polysomnographic testing, including EEG, EMG, NCV, EP, and CPAP/oxygen therapy as needed Responsible for equipment setup, calibration, and ongoing maintenance in hospital rooms, ORs, and clinic settings Reads and scores neurodiagnostic and polysomnographic test results Conducts patient history intake and instructs patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up care May provide guidance and instruction to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab Must be available to work Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, or Christmas Eve if needed
