1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel EEG Technologist at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC, with at least 1 year of EEG experience and ABRRET eligibility. Details Inpatient Neurological Diagnostics unit at a 885-bed Level 1 Trauma academic medical center and designated Stroke Center Patient population ranges from pediatric to adult, with common diagnoses including stroke and seizures Covers inpatient, outpatient, and ICU settings Average of 3-4 EEG hookups per day with maintenance of up to 16 patients daily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM day shifts, 40 hours per week On-call requirements apply Weekend rotation approximately once every 2 months No floating required
EMR:
Epic (experience not required) Natus EEG equipment used (prior experience not required) Requirements Minimum of 1 year of EEG experience, with most recent experience within the last year ABRRET eligibility required; national certification not required but preferred Current BLS required HS Diploma or GED required Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment across inpatient, outpatient, and ICU settings Comfortable working with pediatric through adult patient populations License required if applicable Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB for consideration Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information Perform EEG hookups and ongoing monitoring for inpatient, outpatient, and ICU patients Support provided by departmental leadership Orientation includes facility-wide NEO plus 2 days of departmental orientation Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays Scrub color: black bottoms, purple top Free parking available on site First-time travelers will be considered for this position Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
