Know Your Team:
New Mexico Heart Institute has over 30 years of diagnostic, interventional, and preventive cardiovascular expertise. Our team of over 50 providers uses state-of-the-art technology, offering the latest treatment options for all types of heart and vascular conditions.
Responsibilities:
The technologist will perform interrogations of pacemakers and implantable defibrillator's. Monitor, write reports, and manage remote patient interrogations. Identify critical device and/or patient issues and bring them to the attention of the provider, and maintain the device database. Assists cardiologists with cardiac procedures and exams. Maintains and monitors systems, equipment, and supplies for the assigned department. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Knowledge of a variety of software applications programs. Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures. Pacemaker programming experience
ACLS BLS
certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. National Certification. CCSD, IBHRE, and CRAT certifications are required within the first year.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Associate's Degree in CVT program from an accredited institution.
