Job Description

NeuroNY is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled EEG Technologist, Registered, to join our team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures to assist in diagnosing neurological conditions, ensuring precise data collection and interpretation. Your expertise will contribute directly to patient care in fast-paced environments such as Level I Trauma Centers and neurocritical care units. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your physiology knowledge and diagnostic evaluation skills while working alongside a passionate team committed to excellence in neurological health. Duties Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort and cooperation Set up and calibrate EEG equipment accurately, adhering to safety standards and protocols Record high-quality EEG data by applying electrodes according to standardized placement systems, such as the 10-20 system Monitor patient vital signs during procedures, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies Analyze EEG recordings for abnormal activity, documenting findings clearly for physician review Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals during diagnostic evaluations and emergent situations Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient interactions, and equipment maintenance in compliance with hospital policies Assist in prior authorizations and benefits investigations as needed Requirements Current registration as an EEG Technologist, with valid certification from a recognized credentialing body Proven experience performing EEGs in Level I Trauma Centers or neurocritical care settings preferred Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to neurological diagnostics Familiarity with CT (Computed Tomography) imaging procedures and emergency medicine protocols is highly desirable Ability to interpret vital signs accurately and respond effectively during critical situations Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques and understanding of anatomy related to brain activity Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and collaborate effectively with medical teams This role offers a work environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes. Pay:
$35.00 - $47.14 per hour
