Job Details:
The EEG Technologist III (Long-Term Monitoring for Epilepsy (LTME) and ICU/cEEG Specialist) is an advanced level position in the epilepsy monitoring unit. The EEG Tech III has passed examination by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists, Inc. (ABRET) and proven competence to obtain credentials in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.•) and long-term monitoring (CLTM•). The EEG Tech III provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. The EEG Tech III performs all core functions of the EEG Tech II and may also perform the following responsibilities: Wada, PET, and Ictal SPECT. Strong well-developed communication skills are essential for this position. The EEG Tech III (The LTME/ICU/cEEG Specialist) performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials held under general technical supervision. General technical supervision requires that the long-term monitoring for epilepsy procedure is performed under technical supervision as detailed in the facility policy and procedure manual. This position may require working days, nights and/or weekends and holidays as needed. Required Qualifications GED or High School diploma Must be Board Eligible but does not need to have: REEGT Certification Radiological Electroencephalography Technologist - ABRET or other National registry Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or certificate in neurodiagnostic technology (CAAHEP-accredited program preferred) CLTM certification preferred, but not required. 3+ years pediatric experience
