Full Job Description Description:
Neuro Dynamics is now hiring an EEG Set Up Technician!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform EEG testing on patients in their home. Ensure all ordered procedures are completed in an organized, efficient manner. Effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, and all other healthcare workers. Input patient demographics and exam details into a report format for the Neurologist's review. Provide expert knowledge of EEG pattern recognition. Operate and store EEG equipment, take pertinent patient history on outpatients and inpatients, and integrate all aspects of care for all age ranges. Maintain patient confidentiality with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
Required:
CPR/BLS Certification 1+ year(s) related medical experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Detail oriented and able to work with large amounts of data. Extensive experience in EEG analysis programs. Must be able to read, evaluate and interpret data and perform mathematical functions. Must be able and willing to push, pull, lift, carry and move up to 15lbs and sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to be on call one weekend per month. Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation as the position requires travel with a driving radius of two (2) hours. A gas card will be provided.
Preferred:
Postsecondary study or Associates Degree in Neurodiagnostic technology (including neuroanatomy, physiology, psychology, instrumentation) or health-related field preferred but not required. ABRET Certification - American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). This position will begin as part-time, with the expectation of transitioning to full-time within 30 to 45 days.
