QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
Ability to use the computer for patient billing. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.Preferred :
Previous experience in health care; and experience in cardiac rhythm recognition.TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Frequently uses the computer for communication of information in billing and sending reports to physicians and other patient care sources. Continually analyzing work situations, problem solving and working with coworkers in a professional manner. Frequently operates, maintains, trouble shoot equipment. Frequently pulls, pushes, and lifts 50 pounds or more. Must be physically able to stoop, bend, reach and frequently lift 50 pounds or more. Continuous walking and/or standing throughout shift required. Must maintain knowledge of and practice safe body mechanics according to Sky Lakes Medical Center policies.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs routine EKG's and applies halter monitor recorder on patient.
- Disassemble and clean respiratory equipment and reassemble for proper use.
- Stocks and inventories cardiopulmonary supplies, equipment as well as office supplies.
- Is responsible for the proper charges/billing being entered in the electronic health record
- Is required to be involved with problem resolution in regard to patient charges, including resolution with the business office.
- Be able to work with staff and patients in a professional manner.
- Attends departmental meetings.
- Demonstrates competence in relation to the defined mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of the organization. This will be apparent by ongoing completion of any or all of the following: proficiency testing, skill demonstration, practice of core standards for service excellence, and documentation review.
- Provide patient care and performs tasks using job skills and growth and develop knowledge specific to the patient's age and/or developmental level.
- While performing job tasks, demonstrates awareness of cultural and spiritual practices of the customer(s).
- Assesses physical needs and functional status of the patient in order to provide patient care.
- The ability to adapt to constantly changing work pace.
- To work with minimal supervision after orientation and learning the job requirements.
- Acts a liaison between the ancillary staff, physicians and CPD staff.
- Maintains neat, organized and safe environment for patients and staff.
