Job Description:
A neurodiagnostic technologist is a specialized healthcare professional who operates medical equipment to record and study electrical activity in the brain and nervous system. Their findings help physicians diagnose and monitor neurological disorders like epilepsy, strokes, and sleep conditions.
Responsibilities:
Preparing Patients:
Explaining procedures and meticulously attaching electrodes to a patient's scalp and body to ensure accurate readings.
Conducting Tests:
Administering exams such as Electroencephalograms (EEGs), Polysomnograms (sleep studies), and Evoked Potentials (EP). Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM): Tracking brain and nerve function during complex surgeries to prevent irreversible damage.
Analyzing Data:
Reviewing recorded data to flag abnormalities or external interferences, providing doctors with clean reports.
Work Environments:
These technologists typically work in hospitals, specialized clinics, sleep study labs, and operating rooms. They frequently collaborate with neurologists, surgeons, and other allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technician to join our medical team. Preferably with experience with BAER and DOPLER testing. This role involves performing specialized diagnostic procedures to assess neurological function, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with neurological conditions.

$80,000.00
