Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule:
3x12-hour shifts/week, rotating weekends Level IV Accredited Epilepsy Center ABRET Accredited EEG Department No on-call requirements About the Opportunity We are seeking a skilled Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) to join its advanced Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). This Level IV Epilepsy Center delivers specialized neurodiagnostic care, including continuous video EEG monitoring across multiple facilities in North Texas. This is a great opportunity to work in a 24/7 EEG department with no on-call requirements , alongside a highly experienced clinical team. Key Responsibilities Perform routine, STAT, and continuous video EEG studies Apply electrodes using collodion and paste techniques Accurately place electrodes using the International 10-20 System Monitor continuous EEG recordings and identify abnormal activity Escalate critical findings to physicians as needed Provide bedside EEG services across multiple units Educate patients and families on procedures Maintain accurate documentation and high-quality recordings Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams Patient Populations Neonatal (NICU) Pediatric Adult Critical care patients
Units Covered Include:
NICU, PICU, CHSU, BMT, Neuro ICU, MICU, and other inpatient units Required Qualifications Registered EEG Technologist ( R. EEG T. ) - ABRET certified Minimum 3 years of EEG experience Experience with routine, STAT, and continuous EEG monitoring Strong knowledge of the 10-20 Electrode Placement System Experience with collodion and paste electrode application Experience with neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients Strong communication and patient care skills Preferred Qualifications Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) experience Ability to identify abnormal EEG patterns Experience with stereo EEG monitoring Critical care EEG experience Equipment & Systems Natus Xltek EEG System Meditech (documentation support) #CA02
