Basic Function:
Administer pre-hospital emergency care and other forms of related health care and education. Transport patients in emergency and non-emergency situations as required. Work as a member of an emergency medical team.Experience:
This is an entry-level position. One [1] year of related experience preferred for appointment to employment.Education:
High school diploma; and post-secondary vocational training.Certifications/Licenses:
CurrentAHA BCLS
Healthcare provider. Current Connecticut and National Registry (preferred) certification as an EMT or AEMT. Current Connecticut Medical Command Authorization for semi automatic defibrillation and Epi-Pen utilization desirable. Valid driver's license. IS 100;200;700 and 800 certification desirableCore Knowledge/Attributes:
Desire to excel as a pre-hospital care provider in a busy urban EMS System. Ability to be self-motivated and accountable. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
