EMT Position Profile:

Basic Function:

Administer pre-hospital emergency care and other forms of related health care and education. Transport patients in emergency and non-emergency situations as required. Work as a member of an emergency medical team.

Experience:

This is an entry-level position. One [1] year of related experience preferred for appointment to employment.

Education:

High school diploma; and post-secondary vocational training.

Certifications/Licenses:

Current

AHA BCLS

Healthcare provider. Current Connecticut and National Registry (preferred) certification as an EMT or AEMT. Current Connecticut Medical Command Authorization for semi automatic defibrillation and Epi-Pen utilization desirable. Valid driver's license. IS 100;200;700 and 800 certification desirable
