You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care, support, and to monitor individuals who have been engaged in public intoxication. Your primary objective will be to monitor clients as they are sobering up in a safe and secure environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform triage to ensure patients meet eligibility criteria.
• Provide clinical oversight of a patient's medical care during intake and throughout their stay.
• Follow medical protocols as established by St Vincent de Paul Medical Director.
• Assist in de-escalating individuals during intake and throughout their stay.
• Focus on a client's strengths and attend to the overall health and wellness of a client with mental health issues or addiction.
• Maintain documentation with charting.
• Documentation of interactions with patients

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Iowa Driver's License
• EMT State Certification with the State of Iowa
• Current Basic Life Support CPR Certified
• 1 Year EMT experience
• Mandatory Reporter for Adult
