Job Description

Job Summary This position is a full time EMT position providing BLS emergency medical care as a team member in a rural environment for both 911 and emergency interfacility responses. The EMT may be partnered with a Paramedic, an Advanced EMT, EMT or a CPR certified driver. Ideal candidates will have a team member mindset as well as are highly skilled professionals with advanced medical training, technical rescue expertise, and the ability to perform under pressure in austere environments. This role requires adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented mindset to ensure the safety and success of emergency operations. Key Responsibilities Travel to and from work. Provide BLS emergency medical care in rural environments. Maintain and secure controlled substances and CS documentation per policy. Complete incident, company, and patient paperwork accurately and efficiently. Maintain documentation of incurred expenses. Maintain documentation and timely submission of hours worked. Proficient operation of radio and navigation systems. Ensuring the optimal use of organizational resources. Collaborating with other emergency services, hospitals, and external stakeholders. Supporting clear, effective, and positive communication internally and externally with partners. Safely operate and maintain vehicles, medical, and rescue equipment. Perform basic maintenance on equipment including vehicles and gear. Perform other work-related duties as directed by Supervisor. Required Qualifications Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience. Ability to operate a variety of vehicles including 4x4. Current NREMT certification. Current state issued EMT license in good standing (must be able to obtain ND licensure). 2 years EMT experience in a 911 system.
Ability to work outdoors:
walk, climb, run, twist, bend, hike, and carry up to 60 pounds. Eligible to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications
AWLS, WLS
MP, or other professional wilderness medicine training TECC, TCCC, or
PHTLS ACLS & PALS ICS 200, 800
Vehicle extrication certification Other Information ACS will provide uniform items except pants and boots. Pay and Benefits All employees are paid hourly with overtime after 40 hours per week. All employees receive free access to FOAMFrat for continuing education. ACS paid continuing education including critical care training, conference attendance, and specialty certifications (such as wilderness EMS, hazardous materials, or prolonged casualty care training). Paid health insurance, option vision and dental, and 401k with match. Employees receive monetary bonuses dependent on performance.
