Job Description

Cranbury First Aid Squad provides basic life support services for the Township of Cranbury and surrounding communities. We are looking for professional and highly skilled EMTs on a per diem basis for Saturdays and Sundays to assess and provide emergency care as assigned by the local dispatch authority.
Duties and responsibilities:
Answers required emergency calls and able to drive ambulance to required location following most efficient routes. Operate CFAS vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with all laws with strict regard for public safety. Demonstrate skills to determine the nature and extent of injury and establish priorities for and render emergency care, preparing victims for transportation and cares for patient during trip to the appropriate medical facility. Work in a team environment. Does inspection and provides general maintenance to the ambulance and reports any deficiencies of required equipment and supplies. Return ambulance to readiness following calls. Fills out patient documentation in full detail, making sure it is completed correctly, legibly and in a timely manner according to state laws. Completes all tasks on duty lists. Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor necessary to support the organization. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Able to communicate quickly and clearly in different environments (i.e. with dispatch or with patients) Comply with all local and state protocols, procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work weekends (Saturday, Sunday) Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of 911 experience as an EMT; 2-5 years preferred. Must be at least 21 years old and a US citizen, resident-alien or possess a valid visa to live/work in the USA. Must have current
NJ EMT-B
Certification Must have current
AHA BLS CPR
Must have ICS 100 Must have valid driver's license and ability to provide driver's abstract. Must have completed CEVO or EVOC training Must be able to lift and carry minimum of 150 pounds
