Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) specializing in medical transport to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in patient assessment, Basic Life Support (BLS), and safe transport practices. This role provides an opportunity to support patient safety and comfort during transportation in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties & Responsibilities Respond promptly to medical transport requests, ensuring timely arrival at facilities and transport destinations Assist with patient assessments, including obtaining vital signs and monitoring patient condition during transport Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) interventions within scope of practice and as directed by supervising EMTs Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient status, care provided, and transport activities Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, dispatch, facility staff, and medical team members Safely operate emergency and non-emergency vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company driving policies Perform patient lifting, moving, and positioning using proper body mechanics and approved equipment Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment, adhering to infection control and sanitation standards Assist with scene support, patient transfers, and coordination at healthcare facilities Support EMTs and clinical staff during transports, including bariatric and specialty transports as assigned Skills & Qualifications EMR certification (required) CPR certification (required) Strong knowledge of patient assessment and Basic Life Support principles Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to emergency medicine Experience obtaining and interpreting vital signs and recognizing changes in patient condition Ability to use patient-moving equipment and durable medical equipment (DME) safely and effectively Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or driving Join a company where your role directly impacts patient safety and comfort every day.
