AEMT (Night Shift)

Responsibilities:

+ Maintains clean patient environment as well as crew quarters + Ensures safe operation of patient laden stretcher employing appropriate stretcher discipline at all times. + Maintains safe loading, unloading, adjustment of head of stretcher, and stretcher movement. + Reflects a positive attitude to the customer in a high stress environment at all times, with a clear understanding of who the customer is. + Reports injuries and completes the appropriate documentation, no matter how minor, to a supervisor in a timely manner. + Maintains fitness for duty by adhering to all employee health requirements, including maximum weight, hearing conservation program, and required medical screenings. + Responsible for the safe operation of the transport vehicle and ensures a safe environment for patient and other healthcare workers in and around CEM vehicles. + Completes all official documentation in a timely manner such as payroll, expense reports, orientation forms, etc. + Utilizes appropriate safety channels to report safety concerns and uses tools available to enhance a safe work environment. + Performs daily equipment check (vehicle, medications) + Maintains and ensures adequate vehicle operation including proper fuel, fluid levels, lights, sirens, radio, cellular phone functioning. + Works with Regional Medical Manager to ensure all mechanical deficiencies are corrected. + Demonstrates the ability to establish a rapport with customers; including the ability to create and sustain a positive relationship; regardless of circumstances, environment, or patient presentation. + Responds promptly and efficiently to all requests for service. + Participates in shift report from off going crew + Adhering to the drug and alcohol policy at all times. including prescription and/or over the counter medicine use. + Adheres to the current uniform policy. + Adheres to rules for scheduling, including schedule requests, minimum time, and availability. + 1 year EMT experience. + High School Diploma (or equivalent) required + 1 professional contribution selected from department, hospital or system goals, and approved by your Manager. + Previous ambulance and/or hospital experience preferred. + Reliable transportation and be willing to travel to any STAT MedEvac base site as assigned. + Must be able to successfully complete the prescribed orientation program, including classroom, clinical rotations, educational competencies, and on the job training. + Must work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities, and specialized equipment.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

North Central Pennsylvania and Central Pennsylvania allow for the Emergency Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
