Job Description

ORION EMS
is accepting applications for Emergency Care Attendant (ECA)/Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) offering full and part-time opportunities. We are searching for someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll perform a variety of routine and specialized patient care activities, as assigned, under the direction and supervision of the EMTB, AEMT, Field Training Officers, and Operations Manager. While operating the ambulance, the ECA will be paired with a medical provider with a minimum certification of EMTB. The certified medical personnel will perform all patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspect the assigned ambulance and report any deficiencies for repair.
  • Drive the ambulance in Basic Life Support (BLS) setting only, to provide safe and efficient transportation of ill or injured persons to medical facilities.
  • Assists with the collection and documentation of patient data.
  • Provides high-quality patient care in collaboration with EMTs and in conjunction with the patient/family.
  • Safely secure patients' stretchers to restraining devices to ensure stability during transport.
  • Maintains accountability for development of self and participates in development of others.
  • Demonstrates commitment to team, flexibility, professional interpersonal communication, and customer service skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay:
up to $17.00/hr 8h-12h-24h shifts available
