CPR Full Job Description Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at a fast-paced, freestanding emergency room. This is an excellent opportunity for an EMT to expand their skills and experience in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and delivery of emergency care to patients Start IVs as required by medical staff, ensuring patient comfort and safety Perform routine laboratory tests and obtain samples as needed Assist in performing EKGs under the direction of healthcare professionals Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Provide assistance to physicians and nurses during emergency procedures Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols Ability to perform: CPR, Phlebotomy,Patient Transport,Basic Wound Care,Vital Signs, Point of Care Testing,Splinting.
Qualifications:
Current EMT certification (EMT-Basic or higher) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred Previous experience in an emergency room, urgent care, or pre-hospital care setting is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stay calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of medical equipment and terminology Ability to work flexible hours,including weekends
