Job Description
Emergency Department Tech PRN, rotating At Grand River, we are more than a hospital - we are neighbors taking care of neighbors proudly serving residents of Western Colorado and beyond. What You'll Do Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Collaborates with Emergency Department, other departments and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care is provided. Serves as a member of the trauma/code/sepsis/stroke team. Obtains patient vitals and EKG, orders and obtains labs, starts IVs, assists with patient care work flow. Transports and rooms patients, answers phones/emails Communicates efficiently with Emergency Department members and other departments, hospitals, dispatch, etc. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned. Who We're Looking For Training in any and/or all of the following classes, Paramedic, basic EMT training, Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant. Must have current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment. A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role is preferred.
