• Description

• Shift:

• PRN Position (48 hours month required) 12-hour shifts
• 7am•7pm and 7pm•7am, weekend shift varies •

• Travel between Emory locations within Emory Healthcare Locations

• Emergency Room Float Tech
• whoPerforms a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.

+ IV insertion and placement of a foley catheter. + Performs and documents vital signs, notifies triage nurse or physician on duty possibly critical patients, communicates as appropriate to waiting room patients. + Conducts needs analysis to determine need for supplies based on ED volume. + Monitors stock and supplies to ensure par levels are maintained. + Ensures that physician orders are accurately entered into the computer. + Answers phones and direct inquiries as appropriate. Performs other duties as required.

• Minimum Qualifications:

• + High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

+ Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program. + 1-year minimum Previous + Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic, AHA CPR, and

AHA ACLS

if Paramedic.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• + Previous Emergency Department Experience
