Job Description

Join the Front Line of Emergency Care as an ER Technician @ Caribou Medical Center! Are you ready to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where every second counts? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate ER Technician to join our emergency department team and make a real difference in patients' lives—every single shift. What You'll Do As an ER Technician, you'll be right in the action—supporting nurses, assisting physicians, and helping patients when they need it most. No two days are the same, and your work will truly matter. Patient Care Take vital signs, monitor patients, and provide comfort measures Assist with patient mobility, restroom needs, and responding to call lights Perform STAT EKGs and apply heart monitors Behind-the-Scenes Send specimens to the lab and handle order entries Collect registration, demographic, and insurance information Support smooth communication between patients, families, and care teams Clinical Skills Assist with procedures and treatments under RN supervision Perform head-to-toe assessments (LPNs) Support safe medication administration (LPNs) Interpret lab results and help guide next steps Team Player & Problem Solver Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff Promote a positive, solutions-focused work environment Jump into emergency situations with confidence and calm Patient Advocate Treat every patient with dignity, respect, and compassion Support patients of all ages—from pediatric to geriatric Recognize and respond to emotional, cultural, and social needs Safety & Excellence Matter Follow all patient safety protocols and emergency procedures Protect patient privacy (HIPAA) Help improve processes that make care safer and more effective Schedule Full-time, non-exempt 10-12 hour shifts Flexibility to work extended hours when needed
Required:
LPN, Advanced EMT or Paramedic certification in Idaho Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
ACLS and PALS Med/Surg experience ER experience
