Full Job Description Join Our Mission:
2nd Shift Facility Technician at Charlotte Rescue Mission Do you have a passion for making a difference? Charlotte Rescue Mission, a Christ-centered residential drug and alcohol recovery program, is seeking a dedicated Facility Technician to join our team. The Facility Technician is responsible for the safety of the facility and the clients and assures that program schedule is being followed. Must be a self-starter and be able to multi-task. A team player that is willing to work with various departments to achieve overall goals of the mission. Have good relational skills and work in a recovery environment with clients. The position is full time, onsite, in person- 2nd Shift 2pm-10pm Tuesday - Saturday In this critical role, you will: Perform client bed checks periodically throughout the shift per policy and document activity. Complete general clerical duties to include but not limited to filing, copying, posting, message retrieval, inventory of office and program supplies etc. Make copies of educational "client handouts" as indicated on the program scheduled for number of clients participating in the class. Check KIPU for client appointments and prepare the necessary releases for various appointments. Set up/ pack out medications as needed to support the residents. Responsible for cleanliness and order of the administration office. Provide shift report to oncoming Facility Tech. Attend monthly tech meetings and quarterly staff team building meetings. In emergency situations, transport clients to the emergency room. Maintain ethical boundaries in all interactions with the individuals we serve, ensuring respect, integrity, and accountability at every step. Other duties as required.
Note:
All Facility Technicians may be required to provide inclement weather and emergency coverage as needed and requested, as well as providing their contact information. It is the responsibility of the Facility Technician to monitor weather and other conditions, and to be prepared to move into emergency mode as conditions dictate.
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent Nonprofit, Behavioral health, Substance abuse, or Mental Health work experience. Prefer at least 1 year of experience working in the field of addiction, mental health, behavior health, or human services.
Skills:
Appropriate communication skills (verbal and written). Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be patient, motivated and self-driven. Must have strong adaptability, time management, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Ability:
Must be able to lift minimum of 30 lbs. Must be able to climb stairs, sit, and stand for long periods of time. Must have clear speaking, patient listening, and excellent writing skills. Must maintain highest level of confidentiality. Must be able to defuse volatile situations and react appropriately in an emergency. Ability to multi-task. Hourly Pay:
The hourly range $16.00 to $19.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.
