More about our team Our Emergency Department is a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center recognized for exceptional teamwork and rapid, high-acuity care. Supported 24/7 by an experienced on-shift supervisor, along with a dedicated multidisciplinary team including surgical technicians, emergency service technicians, unit clerks, pharmacy staff, social workers, transport personnel, and our own team of attending physicians and providers. How you'll contribute A Clinical Support CST who excels in this role: Works closely with all emergency services staff Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and visitors Performs aseptic surgical techniques while functioning as a surgical assistant for trauma alerts/procedures Responsible for the proper collection of most specimens used in laboratory analysis within the scope of their knowledge and experience (Phlebotomy, POC testing) Performs point of care testing, and follows appropriate quality control procedures Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as appropriate including the transporting of patients throughout the facility Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities. What we're looking for High school diploma Graduate of a Program in Surgical Technology. CST certification required for employees hired after October 29,2020 or practiced surgical technology as their primary function in another healthcare facility at any time during the two-years prior to October 29, 2020. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6-months of hire. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
