Day Shift Location:
Nazareth Hospital - Philadelphia, PA Position Purpose The Lead Emergency Room Technician supports, leads and directs ER technician clinical practice. Provides assessment, prioritization and direction of activities to meet the changing unit demands. Following the direction of the Nurse Manager/designee, the lead ER technician assumes leadership accountability for fostering non-licensed direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patients. The Lead ER technician implements unit specific strategies, coupled with colleague specific practice remediation aimed at achieving high clinical quality and patient safety outcomes supportive of a high reliability environment. Assists the healthcare team by providing personal assistance to patients by caring for the patient, equipment, supplies and supports clerical and nursing care activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of phlebotomy training with six (6) months of hire Minimum one (1) year experience in a clinical setting. Previous nursing assistant experience. Current BLS required. Phlebotomy proficiency preferred Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
