EMERGENCY ROOM TECHNICIAN
Aspirus Medford Hospital, Medford, WI Occasional hours as needed on all shifts, every fourth weekend (Friday 11p-7a, Saturday/Sunday 7p-7a)
Job Description:
The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) is a member of the patient care team that provides clerical duties and direct patient care in the Emergency Department under the direction of the Department Director, licensed nursing staff and providers. They strive to meet the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.
Experience/Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited MA program; enrolled in an approved nursing program, having completed the basic nursing arts required; certified nursing assistant or have completed the EMT basic course is required. Current BLS Certification is required. Education in medical terminology courses and basic computer course is preferred. Experience in patient care in a clinic, acute care hospital or ambulance is required. Six (6) months' experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.
