Fremont Surgery Center has been providing high quality care to patients in the Bay Area since 1996. Our facility is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF) and certified by Medicare. We are one of the largest and busiest ambulatory surgery centers in Northern California. At this time, we are looking to expand our clinical team with the addition of full time GI Techs.

General duties include:

Assembling supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians' preference Inspecting equipment and instruments for proper working condition Arranging instruments and equipment according to given procedure Following principles of aseptic technique and prescribed GI room procedures Maintaining availability of instruments and supplies to avoid delays Correctly using, caring for, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed Assisting RN with and correctly applying monitoring devices to patient in GI room Accurately entering information to Provation system Assisting with transferring patient from/to PreOp/PACU The ideal candidate for this position will have at least one (1) year of experience assisting physicians with GI procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD, previous experience in an ASC setting, and knowledge of scope reprocessing using AER. Familiarity with Provation software is a plus. Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED certification and CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association. GI lab experience and MA certification are preferred. This position is full time, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours. Part time or per diem will be considered for afternoon availability.
