Endoscopy Technician Indiana University Health - 3.7 Carmel, IN Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Qualifications BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Endoscopy Technician Job Description Overview Located just south of 106th Street on Illinois Street in North Indianapolis, the Douglas Rex Endoscopy Suite at IU Health Spring Mill Surgery Center features modern, fully equipped procedure rooms with advanced technology to support safe, efficient, high‑quality patient care. Endoscopists at this location perform a wide range of gastroenterology procedures, including general gastroenterology, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), flexible sigmoidoscopy, and rectal ultrasound (RAU). This position is a day shift role working 4 10's, 6:30am-5:00pm. No weekend or holiday required. Endoscopy Technicians provide service and support before, during and after endoscopic procedures. Ensures the presence and proper arrangement of equipment and supplies in the endoscopy room prior to each procedure, assists the physician during the endoscopic procedure as allowed by professional and legal standards, cleans the endoscope after the procedure and expedites room turnover. Provides basic care and some diagnostic tests. Responsible for maintaining the endoscopic equipment and maintaining supply inventory. High school graduate or equivalent required. Current certification as a CNA, CRCST, CER, or CST is preferred Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Knowledge of various endoscopic procedures and previous experience preferred. Requires knowledge of name and function of various endoscopes and related endoscopic equipment.
