The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments. Shift Four 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with some on-call and weekends as required per business needs. Job Summary This position will assist the physician (gastroenterologist, pulmonologist, and/or surgeon) in general and advanced endoscopy procedures with a high degree of efficiency; position and transport patients; prepare the procedural rooms using clean and aseptic techniques; maintain supplies and materials; actively participate in goals of the work unit; and demonstrate excellent customer service. IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered) Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate must be proficient in basic and advanced endoscopy procedures; have direct patient care experience; excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skill; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; and experience with materials/resource management. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
