Job Description
MedPro Healthcare Staffing , a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Endoscopy Technician for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients. Requirements Graduate from an accredited Endoscopic Technology program or Surgical Technology Program. Certification credentialed by Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) or by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Current BLS Certification. Prepare endoscopy room; set up scopes, monitors, and light sources. Gather supplies and check that equipment is working properly. Positions patient to give best exposure for endoscopic procedure, using stabilization equipment, when necessary, while maximizing patient comfort and safety. Assist physician during procedure; passing equipment, managing suction, irrigation, and specimen collection. Maintain scope cleaning and disinfection if applicable. Follow strict infection control guidelines. Participate in emergency resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
