SMMC HOSP Job Description:

Assists the physician with the full range of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures, including specialized procedures. Participates in the on-call rotation, and in the provision of endoscopic services to outreach locations.

Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

Completion of healthcare program (such as LPN, CA, NA, EMT, etc.) or equivalent technical healthcare training, education or experience

Required Qualifications:

8-12 months of related experience in healthcare or patient care experience Medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrating proficiency assisting with routine diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures including, screening flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and EGD, and experience assisting in specialized procedures Experience using electronic medical record

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

What you get to do in this role: Assist physicians with the full spectrum of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures, including advanced and specialized techniques. Support high-quality patient care by ensuring readiness and efficiency during procedures. This position MUST be able to work the following: 64 hours per pay period Rotating 8 Hour Shifts with varied start times

Start Times:
