Endoscopy Technician

Job Summary In accordance with the mission of Taylor Station Surgical Center.

• Gathers appropriate scopes and supplies to perform endoscopic procedures
• Sets up endoscopy room and assures proper functioning of equipment prior to start of procedures.
• Assists RN and/or physician with procedures as directed.
• Responds appropriately to emergency situations
• Properly cleans, leak tests and disinfects endoscopy equipment.
• Maintains proper logs according to policy.
• Prepares defective equipment for shipping to repair company.
• Reports any defective equipment to appropriate person.
• Operates all endoscopic equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
• Function in the spirit of teamwork under the direction of the RN and within the standards, policies, and procedures of the organization.
