Variable Hours/Variable Days Salary Range:
$22.57 and up, depending on relative experience
Shift Differentials:
$1.44 extra an hour for working between 3:00pm
  • 11:00pm (swing) $2.
55 extra an hour for working between 11:00pm and 7:00am (nights) $1.27 extra an hour for working weekends Position Summar y The role of the Endoscopy Technician is to safely and competently assist physicians with endoscopic procedures throughout the hospital. The Endoscopy Tech is also responsible for the proper cleaning and maintenance of reusable equipment necessary for these procedures. As an Endoscopy Tech you will have the opportunity to: Perform endoscopic therapeutic and diagnostic procedures according to departmental standards and protocols Assist the physicians with the procedure, collecting specimens and processing according to policy Ensure that the equipment is set-up correctly and is functioning properly before procedure begins and trouble shoot problems effectively during the procedure if needed Ensure that the equipment is cleaned and reprocessed according to departmental standards Maintain skills to provide a quality service and keep current with the industry Communicate pertinent information concerning the procedure to the appropriate staff and physician Qualifications Experience Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience, preferably in an acute care environment, is required
Licensure/Certifications BLS:
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
