What you'll do The Lead GI Technician serves as a hands-on lead, helping coordinate daily workflows, support the care team, and ensure safe, efficient patient care throughout the Endoscopy Center.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support daily technician workflow, room turnover, supplies, and equipment readiness.
- Order and maintain supplies, equipment, and other materials needed for daily operations.
- Troubleshoot staffing, supply, or equipment issues.
- Coordinate with the Charge Nurse and Endoscopy Nurse Manager.
- Assist with scheduling and sick calls.
- Support orientation, competencies, student onboarding, and staff coaching.
- Participate in quality improvement and workflow updates.
- Step into direct patient care and technician duties when needed. Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant certification required
- BLS certification required
- 1 -2 years of experience as a GI Technician or Medical Assistant strongly preferred
- Prior lead, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred
- EPIC experience helpful Physical requirements This role requires regular standing, walking, patient interaction, computer use, and occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
