Work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians in our thriving Gastroenterology West Endoscopy Center located in Southwest Portland. By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you'll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology West Endoscopy Center receive the highest value care tailored to their needs. Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include: Prepare and clean pre- and post-procedure bays between patients. Stock and maintain supplies in patient care areas. Assemble and maintain patient-ready bed and linen packs to support efficient patient flow throughout the day. Perform or assist with endoscope reprocessing according to protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Collaborate with nursing and technical staff to support patient flow and safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with infection prevention standards. Participate in quality improvement, safety, and ongoing training initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
Salary:
Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $22.65 - $30.65 per hour.
Workdays:
This role is based at the Peterkort Centre. This is a part-time position, with typical hours of 8-24 hours per week, Monday-Friday, and Day(s) off: TBD (8:30 am - 5:00 pm). Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience, and values including: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare, ambulatory surgery center, outpatient clinic, environmental services, or patient support role. Ability to take initiative, work efficiently and independently while supporting patient flow and operational needs in a high-volume outpatient setting. Ability to maintain clean, safe, and patient-ready care spaces. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage supplies, linens, and equipment inventories. Ability to identify and report safety, equipment, or facility concerns. Basic computer skills and ability to learn departmental systems and processes. Excellent attendance and work ethic. Positive attitude and desire to be a team player. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
