Full Job Description Job Summary:

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during GI endoscopic procedures, such as EGD's and colonscopies. Your responsibilities will include assisting medical staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients undergoing endoscopy.

Responsibilities:

• Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Utilize your in-depth knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and physiology to support the medical team.
• Assist in diagnostic evaluations by preparing and positioning patients for endoscopic procedures.
• Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment used during endoscopy.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient information.
• Uphold patient safety standards by monitoring vital signs and responding to emergencies promptly.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handling endoscopic instruments and equipment with precision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate smooth workflow during procedures.
• Adhere to established protocols for infection control and patient confidentiality.
• Participate in continuous learning and training to stay updated on best practices in endoscopy technology.

Experience:

• Prior experience working as an Endoscopy Technician or in a similar healthcare role is a must.
• Proficiency in performing endoscopic procedures and assisting physicians effectively.
• Familiarity with medical software for documenting patient records accurately.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
