1 Description American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with at least 1 year of Endo/GI Lab experience and advanced therapeutic training for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II trauma, tertiary medical center. Details Work in a large endoscopy department at a Level II trauma, tertiary medical center with 19 admit/discharge rooms and 4 procedure rooms Patient mix is 30% inpatient and 70% outpatient, with approximately 10% pediatric patients Serves patients across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatric, with complex GI diseases Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts with start times ranging from 7:00-17:30 (flexibility required) Every other weekend required On-call required with a 45-minute response time; estimated 132 hours of on-call per month Floating between all facilities within the state is required Epic EMR required Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in an Endo/GI Lab MA-C, Surgical Tech certification, or Nursing Assistant certification required Current BLS certification required Epic EMR experience required Advanced therapeutic endoscopy training strongly preferred Experience with
USAP MAC
sedation preferred License required if applicable Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Assist physicians intra-procedurally for both general and advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures Responsibilities include high-level disinfection (HLD) scope reprocessing and room turnover Care for both ambulatory and hospitalized patients across a broad range of GI conditions First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO is minimal; up to 4 days may be approved, but larger RTO requests require manager approval and no holiday RTO is available Former permanent staff from non-Swedish Providence facilities must have been separated for at least 3 months before being eligible; candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Refusal to float between state facilities may result in assignment termination
