1 Description American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with at least 1 year of GI tech experience and CRCST certification for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Seattle, WA. Details Work in an acute care hospital GI/Endoscopy unit with 4 procedure suites, 1 gastric lab, and 1 HRA room 1:1 GI tech-to-room ratio 8-hour day shifts, 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday-Friday No weeknight, weekend, or holiday call requirements Rare floating may occur to nearby satellite locations (Federal Way, Bellevue, or Lynnwood) Charting via Cerner EMR Common procedures include EGDs, colonoscopies, and flexible sigmoidoscopies Opportunity to assist in the gastric lab with esophageal motility studies for experienced candidates Requirements Minimum 1 year of GI tech experience required Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required CRCST certification via HSPA required License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted Copy of driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Additional Information Responsibilities include patient positioning, specimen collection, bedside pre-cleaning of scopes, scope setup and breakdown, and unit restocking Orientation is conducted one-on-one with an experienced GI tech until competency is demonstrated Procedural scrubs are provided onsite Charge nurse is staffed daily Schedule is confirmed 6 weeks in advance; some flexibility later in the contract
